Curriculum Pathways

Curriculum Pathways

Our third Curriculum Principle is “Support”. At Sirius North we provide different pathways to ensure that we meet the needs of all students and ensure effective learning environments for all. Our pathways support a truly inclusive, comprehensive environment.

Magenta Pathway

Most students will enter Magenta pathway which is the general curriculum pathway providing a broad and balanced “No Limits” curriculum: (add button to the Magenta pathway page)

Emerald Pathway

Emerald pathway is a small, supportive pathway for those most in need of accelerated support in cognition and learning. The curriculum offer is broadly the same as magenta to allow for movement between pathways. (add button to the Emerald pathway page)

Diamond Pathway

Diamond pathway has been developed utilising psychological research to support the delivery of the “No Limits” curriculum in an emotionally safe environment. Typically, Diamond caters for those who are, for a range of reasons, not accessing Magenta pathway, limiting progress for themselves and others. The curriculum offer is broadly the same as magenta to allow for movement between pathways. (add button to the Diamond pathway page)

Impact Hub

The Impact hub is a smaller provision catering for students who require an alternative curriculum in a structured and nurturing environment. (add button to the Impact hub page).

EAL Pathway

The “English as an additional language” pathway is a small, supportive, shorter term pathway. The EAL pathway has a focus on increasing the competency in English prior to entry into other pathways. (add button to the Impact hub page).
