Last night SAN hosted the Hull schools under 13 girls dodgeball championships. Schools from all over Hull came to compete in the hope of securing a place in the next round representing Hull.

SAN entered 2 teams, one in year 7 and one in year 8. Whilst the year 7’s fought valiantly in their first dodgeball competition, it was the year 8’s who where superb.

After losing against Archie A, winning against Andrew Marvell and drawing against Sirius West A in the group stage, the girls progressed to the semi final against St Mary’s A. The girls were excellent, narrowly beating them to progress through to the final against favourites Archie A. Whilst Archie were just too strong for them, the girls finished 2nd overall and booked themselves a place in the next round to represent not only SAN, but the whole of Hull alongside Archie. A fantastic achievement.

If you see any of the year 8 girls, please congratulate for them for their efforts:

Lucy Hayley
Shahad Alahmadi
Alisha Brennon
Amy-Leigh McGregor
Ruby Gale
Skye Coulson-Cunningham
Ella Mallinson

Please also congratulate the year 7’s for a great effort in their first competition:

Rejoice Ukegbu
Amelia Thompson
Courtney Beet
Amelia Beech
Zoe Otaru
