Sirius Progress in Cup
On a cold winters night at Andrew Marvell College, the Year 10 football team managed to progress into the second round of the cup after a fantastic 2-1 win.
Sirius dominated most of the first half with George Sneed and Dec Opie having a number of chances between them to put Sirius ahead, however, some heroics from the Andrew Marvell keeper kept Sirius at bay.
Sirius Keeper Aleks Ludowicz performing heroics in the Sirius net, managed to also keep a resilient Andrew Marvell at bay.
Half time was 0-0. Sirius conceded early in the second half through a fine finish from the Andrew Marvell forward. Regardless Sirius were not to be dislodged and soon found a way back into the game with a solo goal from Dec Opie.
Sirius continued to press for a victory and finally got there dividends when James Fredrick fired home from inside the box with a superbly taken goal.
