The future is key for all our students

[28 Sep 2015]

At Sirius we take the future seriously, our comprehensive careers education and guidance programme is designed to support each individual to make their own realistic and informed career choices.

If possible we are always keen to support such activities as “Aspiring Futures” where students can meet people from business
and industry to glean the careers information they need at first hand.

Sirius Students – Aspirational!

Over two hundred Year 8 and Year 9 students from both Sirius Academy North and West attended the Aspiring Futures Careers convention at the University of Hull.

The event was jointly organised by Business in the Community at the University of Hull.

A host of contributors including the Army, The Nation Careers Service, PWC, Rollits, Cranswick Foods and Job Centre Plus were there to provide impartial careers advice.

Students were supported during their visits by Mr Taylor, Ms Moulding and Ms Milner with the invaluable help of Mrs Clarke, Chris Milsom and Lynn Betts and our Teach First Teachers.

The organisers and contributors were particularly impressed by our student’s behaviour, manners and inquisitiveness.
