I had the pleasure of escorting the year 7 football team to Boulevard last night.
Both teams had everything to play for as the victors would secure a place in the schools cup semi-final against Marvell College.
SAN started off brightly taking an early lead from a typical Calum Hepworth breakaway.
Boulevard responded immediately 1-1.
After hitting the Sunday roast several times SAN could not find the net, eventually suffering a counter attack that resulted Boulevard taking a 2-1 lead.
With 15 minutes left on the clock SAN shifted gear and made an immediate breakthrough with Ellis start netting a screamer, giving SAN a chance of reaching the semis.
The game was perfectly poised at 2-2 with 5 minutes to play.
Ben Downing ruined boulevards day as the ball fell at his feet and he calmly netted around a sprawling keeper 3-2.
The flood gates opened in the final 2 minutes as Sam Clark and Calum Hepworth added to Boulevards misery as SAN were luck to escape 5-2.
Please congratulate the Year 7 boys around the academy,
