🏃🏻‍♂️ 🏃🏼‍♀️ Sirius North Athletics Results 🏆 🥇

Our students delivered an outstanding performance at the Costello Athletics Championships, competing against 12 other schools 🏫 from across the city. Throughout the day, they demonstrated determination, resilience, and excellent sportsmanship, earning an impressive collection of medals 🥇 across both track and field events.

A special congratulations 🙌 goes to our Year 8 girls and Year 9 boys and girls, with almost every student in these teams achieving a medal 🥇 in their respective disciplines. Their commitment, teamwork and individual performances were a testament to the hard work they have put in throughout PE lessons.

🤩One of the standout moments of the day came in the Year 8 girls’ relay. The team came agonisingly close to completing a clean sweep of medals 🥇 across all their events, producing a fantastic performance to claim the silver medal 🥈 . In a thrilling finish, they were narrowly beaten by St Mary’s by just eight-hundredths of a second, highlighting how closely contested the race was.

We are incredibly proud 😊 of every athlete who represented the school. Their dedication, effort and positive attitude throughout the competition were exemplary, and they should all be congratulated 👏🏻 on their achievements. We look forward to building on this success in future competitions.

To end the night we saw Matilda the Musical, which we all enjoyed!🤩
