🏈Year 7 Boys Rugby - Hull KR Inspired by 9s Tournament 🏈
🏈Our Sirius Academy North Year 7 Boys played in the Hull KR Inspired by 9s Tournament at Craven Park last Wednesday evening.
🏈The aim of the competition is to encourage players that do not play for a community club - they might be new to rugby but have enjoyed taking part in it in their respective schools.
🏈Sirius Academy North finished 3rd in the tournament, narrowly losing their first game against Beverley Grammar, as they scored a last play of the game to get the win. Shalom O was the stand out player for Sirius North in this game as he went over for three tries, showing real strength and speed in attack. Next up for Sirius was Archbishop Sentamu, where tries from Adam E, Shalom O and Riley S got Sirius the victory. They needed to beat undefeated Malet Lambert in the final game, but Malet were just too athletic and ended winning the game by three tries to one. Shalom O was the only try scorer for Sirius in this game.
🏈The boys thoroughly enjoyed the competition, and played all games with great team spirit, attitude and commitment.
🏈Player of the tournament for Sirius Academy North went to Shalom O, he was extremely dangerous in attack but also made some outstanding try saving tackles in defence.

🏈Special thanks to Hull KR for organising the competition and also to their Head Coach Willie Peters who was available at the end to talk to the players and have photo opportunities.
