🏈Year 7 Boys National 9's Rugby League 🏈
🏈The Sirius Academy North Year 7 Boys represented Hull in the National 9 a-side competition at Warrington yesterday, this was on the back of finishing 2nd in the Hull Schools Tournament at Hull KR last month, a great achievement in itself.
🏈The Sirius North boys managed to win three out of the six games throughout the day and can be extremely proud of their performance against some very good sides.
🏈Playmakers Cooper H and Harley H were organising the team well, ensuring there was some structure in their play, with Harvey W at the hooker position distributing the ball well and making some intelligent scoots from dummy half. The forwards of Jacob N, Reeve L, Coban B and Denny H made an impact when they ran the ball in down the middle of the park, with Jacob B scoring some fine tries out wide when he found space.
🏈Player of the Tournament for the Sirius Academy North side went to Finley L, who only joined the school rugby team a few months ago after never playing the game before, he made some outstanding yards for his team, but it was his defence that caught the eye, as well as his willingness to track back and make last ditch tackles to prevent certain tries.
🏈Hopefully a few of the boys will go on to join local rugby teams on the back of this tournament as they can all be extremely proud of their progression and achievements this year.
🏈Please congratulate the squad on their performance, behaviour and sportsmanship, they were an absolute pleasure to take across to Warrington and were a credit to the Academy.
