⚽️What a game for Sirius North — a 7-goal thriller packed with momentum swings, quality goals, and late drama!
👉Sirius started brightly and took a deserved 1-0 lead thanks to a moment of brilliance from Jacob. Picking the ball up deep inside the opposition half, he drove past several defenders before calmly finishing a fantastic solo goal to cap off an outstanding run.
👉The opponents responded well and eventually found an equaliser to make it 1-1, but Sirius stayed in the contest thanks to some huge saves from Denny. Time and again he came up with point-blank stops to keep the game level and give the team a platform to fight from.
👉Despite the pressure, Sirius then fell behind at 2-1. But the response showed real character. Archie produced one of the moments of the match with a superb volley that flew into the net to make it 2-2 and swing the momentum back our way.
👉The game continued to swing from end to end and Sirius found themselves behind again at 3-2. With ten minutes left, Shalom was pushed further up the pitch and immediately caused chaos for the opposition defence with his energy, pressing, and direct running.
👉The pressure finally told when Sirius forced an own goal to level things at 3-3, with Shalom heavily involved in creating the danger and forcing the mistake.
👉Then came the winner. With less than two minutes remaining, Sirius broke forward one final time. Shalom found space in the box and finished brilliantly to complete the comeback and seal an incredible 4-3 victory.
☺️A fantastic team performance from everyone involved in a very close and hard-fought game.
Special mentions 👏go to Jack, who worked tirelessly in midfield throughout and covered every blade of grass, and to Jacob for his outstanding display and brilliant opening goal. Another huge credit goes to Adam, who played his first school match at right back and slotted in superbly with a calm and solid performance.
