Curriculum Pathways

Our third Curriculum Principle is “Support”. At Sirius North we provide different pathways to ensure that we meet the needs of all students and ensure effective learning environments for all. Our pathways support a truly inclusive, comprehensive environment.

Ruby Pathway

Most students will enter Ruby pathway which is the general curriculum pathway providing a broad and balanced “No Limits” curriculum.

Ruby 8 and 9

Supported classes which are focussed on the basics to support recovery, catch up and engagement.

Ruby R8 and R9 are supported by the Diamond Sessions.

Emerald Pathway

Emerald pathway is a small, supportive pathway for those most in need of accelerated support in cognition and learning. The curriculum offer is broadly the same as magenta to allow for movement between pathways.

Quartz Pathway

The “English as an additional language” pathway is a small, supportive, shorter term pathway. This pathway has a focus on increasing the competency in English prior to entry into other pathways.
