Lesson 1 is a vital part of the curriculum. Lesson 1 is a key time for checking in with your lesson 1 teacher, this provides a consistent start to each day.

In addition, lesson 1 serves many purposes and is designed to increase your success in a variety of ways:

  • Reflections- for you and your lesson 1 teacher to reflect on your progress each week.
  • Appreciations- To give opportunity for thanks and positivity
  • Knowledge boost- To check on your core knowledge
  • Arts boost- to appreciate the importance of the creative arts and to broaden your horizons
  • Student democracy- to support your community and shape your Academy
  • Assembly- to be part of your community and broaden your horizons
  • Character education- To support no limits for the rest of your life
  • Guided reading- To develop reading, vocabulary and broaden horizons
  • Votes for schools- To increase your awareness of your community, the world and to broaden horizons
