Our uniform policy outlines a number of key reasons why we think uniform is important:
- Our uniform is consistent, it doesn’t leave parents/carers and students under pressure to follow the latest fashions which are often expensive.
- Our uniform is consistent, it doesn’t leave students open or under pressure to appear a certain way.
- Our uniform is smart- the students look professional and ready to do well, they are prepared for work and meeting standards. Each year we see those who get the little things right achieve much higher grades.
- Our uniform covers health and safety rules around jewellery.
Sirius Academy North Uniform Community Link
We have a uniform community link with the Dove House Hospice Charity Shop located at 4, Orchard Park, Ellerburn Ave, Hull HU6 9RR and 432 Beverley Rd, Hull HU5 1LP.
These shops are in the heart of our school community and we have identified them as the place where families can donate their unwanted and/or outgrown Sirius Academy North uniform. This will be extremely valuable for families who wish to purchase cheaper, previously loved items of uniform whilst raising funds for this incredible charity.
We ask that parent/carers consider taking any unwanted uniform to this shop before disposing of it by different methods.
Please note that only the stores located at 4, Orchard Park and 432 Beverley Road will accept our preloved items and you may be refused if it is taken elsewhere. If this is of interest, please feel free to visit the store or for further information, please do not hesitate to contact the academy.

- Monday to Friday: 9:15am – 4:30pm
- Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Top Tips for a Smooth Uniform Shopping Experience
- Shop Early: Avoid last-minute stress by shopping as early as possible.
- Make a List: Check your school’s uniform requirements in advance and know what you need before visiting. You can also check which of our stores (East or Central) stocks your school—details are available on our website.
- Try Before You Buy: Fitting rooms are available in store to help ensure the right size first time, reducing the need for exchanges.
- Shop Online: Our online store is fast and easy to use. Most orders are processed within 24 hours. If any item is delayed, we’ll contact you by phone, and we aim to deliver all orders within 14 days.
- Label Everything: We stock name labels in-store and online to help avoid lost property.
- Returns and Exchanges: We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of purchase (or delivery). Please keep your receipt and ensure items are in original condition with tags attached. For postal returns, see our website. For faulty items, please speak with a member of staff in-store.
- Be Kind: We really appreciate your patience during peak times. Our team is doing their best to help everyone, and we kindly ask for respectful behaviour in-store. Please contact your child’s school directly if you have questions about their uniform policy.
- Plain Essentials Available Year-Round: We stock a wide range of plain uniform items throughout the year—perfect for topping up, and often longer-lasting than supermarket alternatives.
- Room to Grow: Many of our trousers and skirts include adjustable waistbands and hems that can be let down—ideal for growing children.
