Academy success in public speaking!

Tonight, our public speaking team (yes, we have a public speaking team) consisting of Year 9 students Finnan West, Jess Tuck and Mason Webster, defied odds Leicester City style and scooped the local Youth Speaks 1st prize and £400 for the academy after delivering a powerful speech on how ‘everyone is an artist’.

Nine teams delivered excellent, thought-provoking arguments over the course of the evening but as other teams departed in their Range Rovers it was Sirius North holding the trophy.

Now the team, along with the self-dubbed Mourinho of public speaking coaching, head to the regionals against even fiercer opponents.
