Students of Thomas Ferens Academy set their goal to the highest of levels this weekend and topped it off meeting those also at the top of their game; Chelsea Football Club.
An eager group of year ten and eleven students embarked on a journey of hard work as they left Thomas Ferens for the fields of Forest Pines early Friday morning. Students engaged with relentless enthusiasm as they took on three days of intense revision in preparation for their fast approaching English Literature exam which proved a great success.
Students were rewarded for their commitment each evening as they took part in bowling, a trip to the cinema and last but by no means least an afternoon of autographs and pictures with Jose Mourinho’s superstars.
What did the students have to say?
“I’ve been working at a C/D but I have managed to achieve As this weekend” boasted Leonie Millington after day two.
“I’ve learnt so much” beamed Zak Macklin as he came down to dinner.
Our students have been an absolute pleasure to work with this weekend and represented Thomas Ferens Academy with pride.
