Basketball – SAN 31 – 18 STINGERS
The SAN basketball team defeated Hull Stingers by a score of 31-18 in a competitive match on Saturday. While Stingers put up a valiant effort, SAN’s defence proved too strong, holding the Stingers to just 18 points.
SAN’s offense was clicking all game long, with sharp passing leading to open fast breaks. The team moved the ball well and found the open man time after time. SAN had a balanced attack, with scoring coming from up and down the roster. It was a total team effort that led to the decisive victory.
Though Hull lost, they battled hard until the final whistle. With continued hard work, they will look to bounce back in their next match. Overall, it was an exciting contest between two talented squads. SAN earned the win by executing their game plan, playing unselfish team basketball supplemented by intense defence.
SAN now enter the Christmas break with no games until January. The recent victories mean SAN at the top of their group leading by three points.
