Hull Schools Badminton – Sirius North finish in 2nd place
Please congratulate the Badminton squad from todays Hull Schools Championships at St Marys, the four competitors representing Sirius Academy North were outstanding, beating three schools out of four and finishing in second place overall. The only team to beat them on the day was St Marys, but they came very close, with only losing by one point in the singles match and two points in the doubles match.
Sirius Academy North 3 Sirius Academy West 2 (Vittogranni Akbar and Jacub Earles won their singles matches, with Vittogranni Akbar and Josh Cruz wiining their doubles match)
Sirius Academy North 1 St Marys 4 (Vittogranni Akbar won his singles match, Jacub Earles only lost 21 – 20 in his singles match, with Vittogranni Akbar and Josh Cruz losing out by 21 – 19 – very close games which could have gone either way).
Sirius Academy North 5 Malet Lambert 0 (Vittogranni Akbar and Jacub Earles won their singles matches convincingly, with Josh Cruz and Mohammed Bojang / Vittogranni Akbar and Josh Cruz / Jacub Earles and Mohammed Bojan all winning in their doubles matches)
Sirius Academy North 4 Hymers College 1 (Vittogranni Akbar and Jacub Earles won their singles matches convincingly, Vittogranni Akbar and Josh Cruz / Jacub Earles and Mohammed Bojan winning in their doubles matches)
