Raising Money for Sports Relief 2016
The Academy has been busy raising money for Sports Relief all week. To support the cause, the PE department have designed an opportunity for students from all year groups to take part in a range of sporting activities, at lunchtime, such as football, badminton, netball and cricket. This was a fun way to test students’ abilities against those of the PE staff.
Students donated 50p to participate and the money raised will be sent to a great charity that touches thousands of people around the world. We attended the event and witnessed students enjoying an exciting and well organised activity. One PE teacher, Miss Warrener, told us, “it’s really nice to see students so passionate about sport.”
