SAN Basketball Team
9-11am on Saturday mornings is where you will find the SAN basketball team mastering their craft. After six weeks of intense training the boys made their debut in the Humber Basketball Association (HBA) Development league.
The first fixture was against the University of Hull 5th team, from the tip off SAN demonstrated their capabilities with point guard Robert draining a long range three pointer. SAN had the upper hand for most of the game until the final minutes when the University took a 3 point lead.
Despite the best defensive efforts a lack of finishing ability and missed free throws proved costly as the final buzzer went.
SAN 30 – 33 UNI
The players, officials and spectators only had praise for SAN whom vey nearly pulled off an underdog victory. Please congratulate the team.
SAN play again 6pm this Saturday at the University of Hull.
