The Deep plastic pollution workshop

[18 Nov 2019]

Last term Y8 were looking at the landmarks in Hull. We arranged to visit the Deep one of Hull’s biggest Landmarks. We saw the fish and Penguins then had a talk with a member of staff about how plastic pollution is effecting our oceans and seas. We had to dress up as sea creatures which highlighted how plastic is moved between them. We filtered water to to show how small the micro-beads of plastic are and we found out that we drink these in our water everyday. We saw the Humber Bridge, from the Deep another Landmark of Hull. A very informative, enjoyable visit.
