Sirius North were hosted by St Mary’s B team on a damp and dreary evening on the 4g. Despite the inclement weather, both teams took to the field with great enthusiasm and energy, to put in a good performance to make it to the final.

The match got off to an exciting start with Sirius North dominating possession right from the whistle. The home team played with great pace and precision, putting St Mary’s B team under immense pressure. However, despite their dominance, Sirius North struggled to convert their chances into goals.

It wasn’t until the 25th minute when Abdullah made a stunning shot that left the St Mary’s B team goalkeeper with no chance, giving Sirius North the lead they deserved. The away team continued to pile on the pressure with  Mary’s struggling to keep hold of the ball.

However, just before half-time, a mix-up in the Sirius North defence allowed St Mary’s B team to equalize, much to the dismay of the away supporters.

The second half continued in the same fashion as the first with Sirius North dominating possession and creating chance after chance. The away team racked up an impressive 28 shots on goal, but unfortunately only six were on target.

It was Archie who finally made the game comfortable for Sirius North with two quick-fire goals in the 60th and 65th minute respectively. St Mary’s B team tried to mount a comeback, but Sirius North’s defense, particularly Ben in central defense, cleared any danger with great aplomb.

In the end, Sirius North deservedly secured a 3-1 victory over St Mary’s B team, much to the delight of the away supporters. Man of the match, without a doubt, was Ben in central defence, who was an absolute rock at the back, ensuring that Sirius North’s lead was never threatened.
