Year 10/11 girls football success
Last night myself and Miss Griffiths took the Year 10 and 11 girls’ football team to the annual under 16’s girls 7 aside football tournament at St Mary’s. The girls were excited for this opportunity as only 1 of the girls named below play football outside of school. So for the rest, this was a great opportunity to play some competitive football.
The girls came up against some good footballing sides, narrowly losing out by marginal score lines in four of the games. However they managed to beat Boulevard Academy 5-0 with excellent goals from Bridie and Isabelle.
The year 10’s will be back in action in 2 weeks time when they team up with the year 9 girls for the under 15’s tournament.
If you see any of the girls around the academy, please congratulate them for their efforts.
