Year 10 BTEC Summer Performance Event (23rd June 2015)
The Year 10 Music students put on their own summer performance event as part of their BTEC course. The students have spent the last few months planning the event and making important decisions as a team in class meetings. Throughout the day itself, students undertook specific technical roles to ensure that the performance area and equipment were set up safely ready for the performances to go ahead. There was a selection of fine performances heard along with a surprise, dance finale, which involved audience participation and some energetic dancing from the students, involved!
The students also wanted to raise money for charity through their event with all proceeds from ticket sales and donations going towards the Motor Neurones Disease Charity. We are delighted to announce that a fantastic £88.50 was raised for this great cause! This is a great result for the students after all their hard work over the past few months. The students worked really hard during the day and should be really proud of their event!
