On Wednesday 15th March, 23 students from Y8 at Sirius West and Sirius North travelled together on a Gifted and Talented trip, to Helmsley in North Yorkshire.
On Friday 3rd March, ten ‘Gifted and Talented’ Y7 pupils were invited to take part in the Institute of Civil Engineers Competition, held at Sirius Academy West.
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of taking students from our Wargaming / Modelling Club to participate in the regional qualifiers for the National Games Workshop School Alliance Competition.
Debate Club takes place every Thursday, after school, in the library. Last night, the students were tasked with doing a ‘Balloon Debate’ – a number of fictional profiles for people were provided and the scenario was that everyone was in a hot air balloon that was plummeting because it was over-filled.
On Sat 11th February, 11 Year 11 students and Mr Sullivan and Miss Blanchard, braved the elements to travel across the city to our sister school Sirius West.
