MENSA MEMBERSHIP FOR SIRIUS ACADEMY NORTH STUDENTS
Four members of the SIRIUS ACADEMY NORTH Gifted & Talented cohort excelled in the recent MENSA testing scoring in the Top 2% for their age in the country.
At Sirius Academy North, literacy and numeracy are both very high priorities and we spend a lot of time thinking about the best ways to raise achievement in these crucial areas.
Students have been exploring war poetry in their English lessons and have been enjoying the works of Tennyson, Owen and Sassoon. So much so, that two of our pupils have gone away and written their own poems independently.
A group of Year 8 students visited the Reckitt Benckiser R&D factory on Thursday 24th March, so they could pitch their idea for a new product to a panel of “Dragons”.
The Healthier Options award recognises catering businesses within Hull and the East Riding area, who are committed to customer care by providing a healthier environment and healthier food choices.
